Walk at Sea Ranch
Warning: People is these photos are thinner (and younger) than they appear.
The day was so nice and the countryside beckoned, so we decided to walk.

We clambered from the hot tub and set off for the sea. It was late February - whale migration time.

First though, we had to get Angus ready. That meant extracting his toy!

Two hours and one whale later, Angus finally got his treat - a doggy paddle.

We saw this house had its own private yacht

and the residents of this one had already taken theirs out!

Angus continued to be his old salt dog self

and occasionally even avoided getting Ian wet.

This is one of my arty shots, I call it "Sea Grave".

Not quite so arty this time, I was intrigued by the light which is so muted and pastel here

Ummm, no comment.

Angus drying off. He loved rolling around on these hard little stones.

After the swim it was time to walk back along the 5 miles of coastline.

There were harbour seals, elephant seals, sea lions and sea otters but none of them made it into this photo.

The walk along the edge often involved long stints in pine tunnels - very spooky, especially when your dog is obviously possessed by demons!

These tunnels are a kids paradise, full of little hidden rooms and hiding spaces.

Here I am looking like a rugged (and ruddy) Englishwoman. Ian calls it "Fergie".

Safely back home, and basking plumply in spa glow, I reunited Angus with his dumb bell.

Why don't dogs ever look fat?

Here's Ian fussing Angus - or playing wheel barrows
1120 K
and here's Angus enjoying a quiet moment, at last.

We left Sea Ranch and drove home. This is what we saw - SNOW in Silicon Valley!
